A nice rare piece of early glass advertising for Dr J Collis Browne's Chlorodyne, a counter dish or tray that would have likely sat on a chemist's shop counter. This was one of the most popular remedies in the 19th century having been introduced in 1857. Claimed to relieve pain of every kind, help with a calm refreshing sleep without headache whilst invigorating the nervous system when exhausted. Qite a sedative as contained a tincture of opium, chloroform and cannabis. Now a nice decorative piece of history. 23cms x 18cms.
