A large wooearly (1920s) wooden advertising thermometer for Liverpool Timber Merchant, Remer & Co who were established in 1879. 53cms tall by 13cms wide and with super patina. Extremely decorative and still in working condition. A keen meteorologist once owned this and has a charming ink on paper record of temperatures stuck to rear, mainly focused on the 1940s but with reference to as early as 1922. Super piece of social history.
