Ebonised Victorian glazed Fry's Chocolate Sweet Shop Dsiplay Cabinet by R. Palmer of Bristol. Beautiful carved arched pediment to top with painted glass inset decorated with Fry's Chocolate & cocoa bean plant. The base is carved with J S Fry & Sons Ltd with the lettering picked out in gold which has faded over time. The cabinet having 2 sliding mirror backed doors to the rear & 2 glass shelves (not shown but present) supported on brass internal fittings. The original glazed front, etched with Fry's to top, By Royal Special Appointment Warrant to the centre & Choice Chocolate to the bottom, many cabinets have had glass replacement to the front, so this is a rare survicor. Lovely original condition.
